Abduction of 5 Arunachal Youths: China’s PLA responds they have them

Following the abduction of five Arunachal Pradesh youths by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) at Nacho area of upper Subansiri distirct, the Indian Army had sent a hotline message across the boarder to the counterpart in China. Kiren Rijiju, Union sports minister and Arunachal Pradesh MP got involved replying  to a tweet by Ashish K Singh of ABP News, about the abduction saying, “The Indian Army has already sent hotline message to the counterpart PLA establishment at the border point in Arunachal Pradesh. Response is awaited.”

China’s PLA confirmed interception of the five youths missing from Arunachal Pradesh. Handing over process of the Arunachal Pradesh youths to Indian authorities is being worked out, Union minister Kiren Rijiju said on Tuesday.

The five youths had gone missing on Friday from the Sino-Indian border in the Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Kiren Rijiju, took to twitter saying, “China’s PLA has responded to the hotline message sent by Indian Army. They have confirmed that the missing youths from Arunachal Pradesh have been found by their side. Further modalities to handover the persons to our authority is being worked out”.
