Pork is one of the integral part of the Nagas. It is one of the most loved meat. No special occasions or festivals is complete without pork dishes. Pork curry is one of the popular and the common one amongst many pork dishes of the Nagas.

This smoked pork with bamboo shoot is traditional and authentic Naga style pork. And this particular recipe is mostly common among Zeliangrong.

Ingredients:

  1. Smoked Pork
  2. Bamboo shoot (fresh)
  3. Chives roots
  4. Ginger leaves
  5. Ginger
  6. Garlic
  7. Onion
  8. Red chilly powder
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Spring onion (optional)

Steps-

  1. Wash the bamboo shoot and keep aside. Wash the smoked pork and cut it into your preferred size.
  2. Slice ginger and onion.
  3. Pound garlic just enough to open the flavour.
  4. Knead the ginger leaves with hands.
  5. Mix all the mentioned ingredients, add water and cook for 20 minutes.
  6. Add salt to taste and cook for another 15 minutes.

Ready to serve 😀
