The digital x-ray and electro cardiogram (ECG) machines were donated by SS. Olish, social worker in loving memory of her late parents Mohring Shilshi and Phaldong Dilbung to District Hospital Chandel on Tuesday.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by D. Ringo Lamkang, Caretaker Chairman, ADC Chandel, M. Rameshwor Singh, MLA, Kakching, Mayanglambam Rajkumar, Deputy Commissioner, Chandel, Ksh. Speakers on the auspicious occasion appreciated the generosity of SS. Olish and her concern for the people of Chandel. Mayanglambam Rajkumar in his speech appreciated Olish for “her large heartedness and felt no one has donated at this magnitude or cost.” CMO Dr. Serthani Moyon highlighted the generous contribution of Olish during this Covid pandemic. “She supplied diet to patients of Covid care centre and isolation ward including staffs posted at the Covid centres.”

It is worth mentioning that the donated x-ray machine & electro cardiogram machine to the district hospital by SS. Olish is believed to be very helpful as the district is facing acute shortage of the availability of such quality machine and facility in the district for many years. One has to sometime travel as far as Kakching or Imphal for testing purpose. Such is believed to ease now with the presence of such machine facility in the district hospital itself.
