Manipur COVID-19 cases at 3853

UT News Service | Imphal, August 10: Fifty out of 100 persons who were found positive for COVID-19 in Manipur in the last 24 hours are locally contracted cases, said official sources on Monday.

A total of 100 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the state in the last 24 hours taking the tally of the pandemic in the state to 3,853 including 1720 active cases on Monday.

An official source in the state Health department said that the new 100 cases of COVID-19 were detected during testing of 2,038 samples in the last 24 hours.

Among the new cases, 43 are personnel of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) posted at various places of the state.

Meanwhile, a total of 78 persons including 15 CAPF were discharged after recovering from the disease on Monday to take the total recovered cases in the state to 2122, a report of the COVID-19 Common Control Room said.
