Best Actress in the tribal dialect film category MANIFA 2020 winner Angel Shimrah talks to Meisum on her celluloid career and the thrill of winning the Award and her future plans.

Angel starred in the Tangkhul dialect Chara Wui Rai (War of Tears), directed and produced by Makanmi Ramror, a prominent film maker among Manipur tribals.

For the first time in the history of Tangkhul film indusdry, Chara wui rai also bagged the best Feature Film in Tribal Dialect in the 9th edition of MANIFA-2020 announced on 13 July. It was in in many ways a glass ceiling moment for Tribal film industry.
