One dies of COVID-19 in Manipur

Death of a patient after a gap of four days took COVID-19 fatality tally of Manipur to 370, even as a single-day spike of four cases pushed the total infection tally to 29,007 on Wednesday.

With the discharge of 13 patients after recovering from the viral disease, the recovery tally of the state also improved to 28, 456. Only 161 active cases were being treated at various Covid care centres of the state. 

Manipur has been witnessing steady decline in the single-day spike of COVID-19 cases in the last few days with single-digit from Tuesday.

Status update on COVID-19 of the state Health department showed the death of a COVID-19 patient in the last 24 hours. 

The patient who died today was a 72-year-old man from Bishnupur district expired at RIMS hospital, a release of the COVID-19 Common Control informed.

In the past 24 hours, only four persons were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases in the state. Two of them are from Imphal West and one each from Imphal East and Thoubal districts.
