Prof. Naorem Lokendra Singh, Professor & HoD (History), Manipur University has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of Manipur University on Thursday.
The appointment letter signed by Vijay Kumar, Under Secretary, Government of India said that the “President of India in his capacity as the visitor of Manipur University has been pleased to appoint Prof. Naorem Lokendra Singh, as per Statute 2(1) Manipur University Act 2005 for a term of five years from the date on which he enters office, or until he attains the age of seventy years, whichever is earlier,” the letter said.
