Shangshak Battalion Assam Rifles conducts village security meet at Sorde

Shangshak Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organized a village security meeting at Sorde on 09 March with the aim of creating security awareness amongst the local populace.

The political issue of the Naga Peace Accord was discussed along with social issues of COVID vaccination, education awareness, and information related to upcoming recruitment rallies.

In addition, the locals were made aware of involvement in smuggling activities in the area. The Village Headmen, secretaries & Village authorities of eleven villages in the area attended the meet.

The locals conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to the Assam Rifles for the initiatives taken towards improving the standard of living in these remote villages.
