37 active cases of COVID-19 in Manipur

Ten recoveries against seven fresh cases reported in a span of the last 24 hours led to the decline of Manipur’s COVID-19 active cases to 37 on Friday.

The recovery rate of the state also improved to 98.59%, according to the daily update of the state Health department.

The seven fresh cases which included one CAPF personnel surged the overall COVID-19 caseload of the state to 29,260.

The overall caseload included 28,850 recoveries as 10 recoveries in the last 24 hours led to further decline of the active case to 37 only. The active cases included 12 CAPF personnel.

Of the six fresh cases from among the general populace, five were from Imphal West and one from Churachandpur district.

The fresh cases were detected while testing 1,009 samples. The state tested a total of 5,47,871 till date.
The COVID-19 fatality tally remained at 373 as there was no report of death due to the pandemic in the state in the last 24 hours for 13 consecutive days.

Meanwhile, with 2896 vaccinated on Friday, the number of people inoculated against COVID-19 in the state rose to 48,845.

The number included 29,735 healthcare workers, the state Health Department said.
