Imphal, May 25: Union Minister of State for Home, Nityanand Rai informed today that Union Home Minister, Amit Shah would visit Manipur on May 29 and stay for 3 days till June 1, 2023.
Nityanand Rai, who is on his visit to Manipur, was briefing the media at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Imphal today.
The Minister of State for Home also said that Amit Shah, during his 3 days visit would meet people from different communities and have dialogues with them, in order to restore peace and tranquility in the State.

Nityanand Rai maintained that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been trying tirelessly to bring development in the Northeast, since the latter swore in as the Prime Minister of the country. “Manipur had witnessed much development and peace had been prevailing in the State under Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership”, he added.
Speaking on the prevailing situation of the State, he stated that violence has always been a hurdle to development and did not bring good in any form. He added that justice could be delivered only through the prevalence of peace.

Appealing to the people of Manipur not to have any apprehension and to have faith in Union Home Minister, Nityanand Rai expressed hopefulness that peace and normalcy would be restored. Justice would be delivered as per the law of the land, keeping in view the interest of the people of the State. Informing that he would visit the periphery of the State, he assured that all sorts of problems would be solved under the supervision of the Union Home Minister.
He sought cooperation of all sections of people towards the Government’s effort to restore peace and normalcy, stating the same could be restored only through people’s participation and support.
