Assam Rifles Organises Felicitation for 40 Candidates Selected for TA Battalion

Ukhrul, March 20: The Assam Rifles in a press release said it honoured 40 candidates who were selected for the Territorial Army (TA) Battalion of Indian Army on March 20.

The candidates had completed pre-recruitment training conducted by Assam Rifles from December 16, 2024 to January 10, 2025, which focused on guiding them in physical fitness, interview procedures, written examinations etc. This marked a significant milestone in their journey to serve the nation, said the press release.

Further, the AR said that during the felicitation ceremony at Maram, the candidates were motivated to excel in their training and keep abreast with the latest technical advancements.

“The recruits will join Training Centre on March 27, 2025 for their basic military training. This event highlighted contribution of Assam Rifles in empowering locals through employment,” the press release added.
