Kohima: The Naga Students’ Federation said it is deeply anguished to learn about the cold blooded murder of Eli. M Lucy Marem (57), a Maring Naga of Beaularham Village, Chandel district Manipur by the Arambai Tenggol group in collusion with the local Maira Paibis on July 15 at Imphal.
The apex Naga student body in a press release issued on Monday said the “cowardly act perpetrated upon our harmless mother, despite having identified herself as a Maring Naga, is a direct challenge to the Maring Naga people in particular and the Naga people as a whole.”
The NSF said it would like to question the intention of the Arambai Tenggol group and the Maira paibis who colluded with the perpetrators of the dastardly act. “The very act of bludgeoning to death an innocent lady speaks for how the perpetrator has systematically planned the ongoing ethnic violence in the state,” accused NSF.
