Imphal: Manipur police recovered a cache of arms, ammunition and war-like stores in a joint operation with troops of Assam Rifles in Churachandpur district, IGAR(S) said in a press release today.

A recovered cache included 10 arms along with ammunition – one M4 Assault Rifle, one 9mm Carbine, two Single Barrel Rifles, four 9mm Pistols, two improvised Mortars, ammunition and war-like stores, it added.

The combined team recovered the cache during an operation at Kholmun village of Churachandpur district today based on specific intelligence input, the press release also said.
The recovered items have been handed over to Churachandpur police station after lodging a case, it added.
