Imphal: Thounaojam Chaoba Memorial Charitable Trust Managing Trustee Thounaojam Romen has been appointed as the new Working President of the Lok Janashakti Party (Ram Vilas) Manipur State, while Thokchom Bungojit is the new President of Imphal West District LJP.
The appointments were announced by the party’s National General Secretary and North East In-Charge Youth Wing, Wangkheirakpam Shreeman, during an event held at Imphal Hotel, North AOC, on Wednesday.

Speaking to the media, LJP R-V Manipur State Unit President Khoirom Dipu shared that steps are being taken, under the initiative of Party National President and Union Minister of Food Processing Industries Chirag Paswan, to establish an Autonomous Food Processing Training Centre in Manipur. This initiative aims to create job opportunities for the youth in the state, reflecting the party’s priority on generating income opportunities for young people and fostering a progressive Manipur.
The newly appointed Party State Working President, Th. Romen, stated that the party aims to field candidates for the upcoming 2027 State Assembly elections and will urge Union Minister Chirag Paswan to help resolve the ongoing crisis in Manipur.
