Inpui Students’ Union, Imphal celebrated Silver Jubilee cum Fresher’s Meet

Imphal: The Inpui Students’ Union, Imphal (ISUI) celebrated its Silver Jubilee cum Fresher’s Meet on September 10 under the theme Towards Greater Unity and Beyond at Tribal Research Institute (TRI), Chingmeirong, Imphal with Aisha Khumba social worker, Bt. John, administrator, Paangkriang Friendship School, Ijeirong and Worin Muivah, founder director STEPS as chief guest, guest of honor and guest speaker respectively.

ISUI was founded in the year 1995 under the aegis of All Inpui Students Union (AISU) with Kadibou Khumba and Wilson Bariam as the president and general secretary at Namdulong, Stadium Road, Imphal under the motto Unity, Wisdom and Prosperity.

The union was established with an aim to promote the general welfare of the Inpui community and particularly the Inpui students at Imphal. The jurisdiction of the union is confined to Imphal valley alone and in the absence of any other student’s body in the localities inhabited by the Inpuis, particularly in Yurembam, Tamphagei, Changangei, Pantilong etc., the ISUI has been representing the aspiration of all the students based in the Imphal valley.

During the event, a silver jubilee souvenir was also released by the chief guest. An Inpui traditional dance was performed by Changangei Dance Troupe. In the second session, Daniel Inkah and Alish Baremron were crowned Mr and Miss Fresher’s of ISUI 2022.

The event was attended by leaders of various Inpui frontal organization namely Inpui Naga Union, Inpui Naga Baptist Churches Association, Inpui Naga Womens’ Union, elders from Inpui community, Inpui pastors in Imphal valley and other important dignitaries.
