Imphal: The Inpui Students’ Union, Imphal (ISUI) organised Sangmuan kadai kadoi (Annual Sports Meet 2022) from October 24 till 25 at Sanapung football turf ground under the theme “Together we win” concluded with much fanfare.
The programme was inaugurated by chief guest Jesse Bariampaan, Presidentof All Inpui student union (AISU) and the valedictory function was graced by chief guest Gonmei Bosco Singamlung, MFS.
Speaking at the event, the chief guest of the event Gonmei acknowledged all the executives who contributed in making the event a grand success and encouraged the students to keep the spirit of competition in every fields for greater success.

The football final match was played between Sumdungnu vs Bangeipui. After a thrilling display of football, team Bangeipui came out victorious with a score of 5-4 in a penalty shootout.
The essence of the sports meet was to bring unity and promote rich indigenous games once played by forefathers. The event concluded with various games played such as Football, Baraaheinu, Wrestling, Kholi, Haaaghaang lili, Toktru inlamse, Ai-phun.

According to a press release by ISUI it said that majority of the Inpui community are settled in the Haochong sub-division under Noney district, and in Tamenglong district, Manipur. Inpuis are also settled in Makuilongdi, Senapati headquarters and Inthan (Waphong) in Senapati district and also in Changangei, Tamphagei, Yurembam, Pantilong, and Sagolband in Imphal West district in Manipur. Moreover, Inpuis also settled in Nagaland and Assam. The Inpui tribe are one of the indigenous Naga tribes of Manipur.
