NSCN-IM: Unscrupulous elements demanding money under Zeilad Region

Tamenglong: The Caretaker CAO of Zeilad Region of the NSCN-IM in a press release Thursday stated that unscrupulous elements are trying to cause unwarranted disturbances in the in infrastructure development which falls within the Zeilad Region, Tamenglong district of NSCN/GPRN by demanding a huge amount of money by way of contribution towards their cause.

The release stated that such activities have come to the knowledge of the Zeilad Region and added that “Since many years no group has been allowed to indulge in monetary demand and shall not be allowed to show their ugly heads under any circumstances”.

“This is for general information that no group, irrespective of hills or valley is allowed to serve any monetary demand that falls under the jurisdiction of Zeilad Region, NSCN in Tamenglong district,” the release asserted.

It further stated that development should be allowed to go on without giving any extortion tension and that cooperation in any form should be extended towards developmental works/projects.
