The Tangkhul Katamnao Long Delhi (TKLD) calls for participation in a a contest “My idea of a Nation” in the form of a speech.
𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽 : The Naga movement is one of the oldest ‘nationalist movements’ in Asia. yet the question how and why is it relevant to our youths and the upcoming generation is an area the Nagas need to delve deeper as majority of our youths grapple with weak education, unemployment and a society that is corrupt in every sense. Against these challenges is also the role of youths and their significance to the movement and their consciousness and understanding is crucial in sustaining the movement and carrying the the vision.
𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗰𝗼ntest? Communication is the backbone of human society. A powerful speech entails not only facts and information but also inspires the audience. It has the potential to reach to maximum audience and galvanize into action.
The TKLD while nurturing the skills of powerful communication among the Tangkhul youths also wish to encourage the youths to critically engage in nation building.

The contest is open for any Tangkhul youth.
The speech will be in English
The contest will be judged according to the following:
1. Presentation – Articulation and delivery of the speech.
2. Content – The content can include theoretical framework of a nation, but participants are encouraged to contextualize with the Naga movement.
Originality of ideas and thoughts will be favoured.
3. Expression – Gestures posture, facial expression, Pause, clarity of idea and pronunciation.
𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲 – The video should not exceed 5 minutes. Poor video and audio quality will not be accepted. Subtitles is encouraged.
