UNC Peace Committee Urges Meitei and Kuki-Zo community to Engage in Urgent Dialogue to Ease Manipur Crisis

IMPHAL, AUG 25: The United Naga Council (UNC) Peace Committee has once again appealed to the Meiteis and the Kuki-Zo community to hold dialogue. The Naga peace committee stressed the importance of dialogue saying that delaying in holding dialogue is not helping anyone.

In a statement issued to Newmai News Network this evening, the UNC Peace Committee said that better understanding can come only through dialogue. “Let us recognise the importance of dialogue,” the Naga peace committee stated.

The UNC Peace Committee then said that lack of dialogue in Manipur is one of the key factors that is aggravating the situation in the state. As such, the Naga peace committee stressed that everyone must recognise the importance of dialogue. “Relationship among communities in Manipur will definitely improve if dialogue is given utmost importance,” the UNC Peace Committee added.
