Ukhrul, April 29: The Wung Tangkhul Region (WTR) of the NSCN/GPRN has announced that it has taken Ningshim Tungshang into custody in connection with the suspected murder of late Ramreithan Luithui, popularly known as HT Pyso, who was a rising pop star from Ukhrul District. Ramreithan, son of late Chanchui Luithui, was found dead under suspicious circumstances on April 6, 2025, in Langdang village.
In a public notice and clarification issued on Tuesday, the WTR stated that the family of the 20-year-old victim had approached the WTR administration to request an inquiry into the incident.
Following the request, a Special Enquiry Team was immediately constituted. The investigation led to the arrest of four individuals who were reportedly accompanying HT Pyso on the day of his death. The WTR identified the four individuals as: Ningshim Tungshang, son of Remember Tungshangnao, of Langdang village; Mayoshang, son of the late Huimi Varam, of Hatha village; Easther Horam, daughter of Siraphui Horam, of Shihai village; Tonchuiwon, daughter of Shangkan Zingkhai, of Kuirei village

The four suspects were taken into custody by the WTR, after which they were subjected to intensive interrogation and their statements were recorded.
According to the WTR statement, Ningshim Tungshang confessed to the murder of HT Pyso. The WTR also clarified that the remaining three individuals were found to have no involvement in the alleged crime.
The WTR concluded that the accused, Ningshim Tungshang, will be given appropriate punishment in accordance with the NSCN/GPRN’s disciplinary regulations.
