A team of All Manipur Working Journalists Union (AMWJU) led by its advisory committee member Sobhabati Samon and acting secretary Khundrakpam Jyotindra visited deceased senior journalist late Thotshang Shaiza family today.
The seven members team interacted with the bereaved family members and handed over monetary help.
The late Shaiza’s family expressed their profound gratitude to AMWJU team for extending their solidarity and helping hand gesture as the family mourns the untimely demise of their beloved.
The senior journalist succumbed to Covid-19 complications on June 12.
Thotshang Shaiza joined journalism in 2009 and had served the district’s press fraternity in varied capacities as its president for consecutive two terms, as district correspondent for ISTV. He was UDWJA advisor and a district correspondent for The Aja Daily till he breathed his last.
