I don’t want to be in a place
Where I have to drag my dreams,
And abandon them in a junkyard.
I don’t want to be someone,
Who exploited their dreams,
In times of misery and deserted them eventually.
I don’t want to hold in my hands
Someone else’s discarded dreams,
And drag them to replace mine.
I don’t want to force my soul open
To see it bleed out my secret dreams,
And have people mock and trifle with them.
Let me believe,
Let me dream;
No one knows their worth
better than me.
