UKHRUL, NOV 15: The Katho Katamnao Long (KKL) said it held a meeting with Arun Kumar Sinha, IAS, Principal Secretary (Agriculture, Forest & Environment and Climate Change, Works), Government of Manipur, who also serves as the Arbitrator for the NH-202 road expansion project.
KKL said the delegation apprised the arbitrator of the urgent need for the speedy disposal of pending cases related to the NH-202 road expansion from Yaingangpokpi to Finch Corner and submitted a written representation requesting immediate action.

During the meeting, KKL stated that the arbitrator assured the delegation that he will personally visit the affected sites and begin resolving the outstanding issues by the last week of November or the first week of December.
Furthermore, he assured that all pending cases will be fully resolved by January 2026, KKL added.
The Katho Katamnao Long then said it expresses optimism that the resolution of these pending matters will pave the way for smooth implementation of the NH-202 road expansion, which is crucial for the region’s connectivity and development.
The meeting with Arun Sinha on November 14 was led by its KKL President Mashungmi Zingkhai and General Secretary Wungmayung Sayai, along with Convenor of the National Highway Committee, Ramva, KKL said.
