Assam Rifles Organizes National Integration Tour for Jiribam’s Remote School Children

Jiribam, Sep 2: Assam Rifles is organising a National Integration Tour for the children of various remote schools in Jiribam district of Manipur from 02 Sep to 11 Sep 24.

​The tour, spanning over a period of nine days, was flagged off from Assam Rifles Headquarters at Srikona, Assam on 02 Sep 24. A total of 35 students of classes 8th to 10th hailing from various communities alongwith their teachers are participating in the tour. During the tour, students will be visiting various places of cultural and educational significance at Agartala, Shillong, Guwahati and Tezpur.

​The tour is aimed to broaden the horizons of young students of remote areas by giving them an opportunity to visit different places and gain knowledge about various cultures and encourage national integration. The visit will also increase awareness of students and enable them to make better career choices post completion of school. The integration tour is being conducted as part of Operation Sadbhavana to give better educational opportunities to students from remote areas.
