Assam Rifles personnel held with Opium

The Narcotics and Affairs of Border, Imphal on wednesday arrested an Assam Rifle rifleman with 5.5 kg of opium kani. The arrested rifleman from 2 Assam Rifles Singhat, identified as Swarnajit Singh, a 34 year old, No. F15011611, from Punjab was in possession of the contraband opium.

Manipur PRO informed the rifleman was arrested after receiving reliable information at North AOC at 6:30pm on September 30. NAB-Police Station has registered a case for further necessary legal action.
