AYO and NSCN/GPRN (K) Khango Resolve Dispute, Lift Sanctions and Commit to Peace

Ukhrul: The Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) and the NSCN/GPRN (K) Khango in a crucial meeting held on Tuesday to address the ongoing tensions between the two parties have agreed to several important resolutions aimed at diffusing the current situation. The meeting facilitated by the Ceasefire Monitoring Board (CFMB), took place in Kohima at 2:00 PM.

In a joint statement, the AYO and the NSCN/GPRN (K) Khango said that both parties agreed to several important resolutions aimed at diffusing the current situation. The key points agreed upon are as follows:

  1. The NSCN/GPRN (K) Khango has agreed to unconditionally withdraw the imposition of capital punishment on the proprietor of M/s KKB Rülho with immediate effect.
  2. Additionally, the NSCN/GPRN (K) Khango has decided to retract its directive to Angami contractors, allowing them to resume activities and continue their work across various districts of Nagaland without any further disruptions. This decision also comes into effect immediately.
  3. The NSCN/GPRN (K) Khango has committed to revealing the identity of the individual known by the alias “Max Naga” within 15 days. Appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against him. In response, the AYO will withdraw its Non-Cooperation stance and recall Angami workers from their positions within the NSCN/GPRN (K) Khango.
  4. The NSCN/GPRN (K) Khango expressed regret over the unfortunate events that led to the current situation, acknowledging the need for resolution and reconciliation.

During the meeting, the AYO reiterated its commitment to the 1993 resolution of the Angami Public Organisation, which upholds the principle of “One Government, One Tax,” the joint statement said.
