BJP Assigns Bhupender Yadav as In-Charge, Biplab Deb as Co-Incharge for Bengal Polls

Agartala, September 25: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday named Union Minister Bhupender Yadav and Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb to oversee its preparations for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections.

According to an official notification issued by BJP national general secretary Arun Singh, Union Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav has been appointed as the state election in-charge, while former Tripura Chief Minister and current Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb has been designated as the state election co-incharge.

The appointments, approved by BJP national president J.P. Nadda, have come into immediate effect.
