Chief Minister hands over laptops to administrative secretaries for e-office

Imphal: Chief Minister N Biren Singh handed over laptops to administrative secretaries of the State Government office at a simple function held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on December 4, 2021. Laptops were distributed to the officials for e-office rollout in various departments of the State Government.

Speaking on the occasion, N Biren Singh welcomed all the officials present and appreciated them for the initiatives and committed services even during the hard times of COVID-19 pandemic. It was through the dedication of Officials on their duties that the State had been able to overcome all difficult times, he added. He continued that the State had achieved a lot and performed well improving the infrastructure in most sectors. 

Mentioning that good governance lies in the happiness of people, he stated that the State Government had always worked for inclusive development. He also stressed the need to provide internet connectivity to the remotest areas of the state so that all welfare schemes and services could reach each and every targeted group. He further directed the administrative secretaries to complete all the pending works before the year end and also asked to ensure proper attendance of government employees at their respective offices. 

It may be mentioned that the e-office Manipur was launched by Chief Minister N Biren Singh on 8th September, 2020 to speed up movement of files and help in maintaining transparency in governance. In the 1st phase of e-office implementation, 62 Departments had been on-boarded, 988 users had been enrolled, 45350 e-Dak had been created and 15,144 e-Files had been created. In the 2nd Phase implementation, 74 Directorates/Societies/Agencies are now on boarded on the e-office platform and by the end of this year, all Government Offices will be on-boarded. 

GAD Minister Shri Vungzagin Valte, Additional Chief Secretaries Shri Letkhogin Haokip and Shri V. Vumlunmang were also present at the distribution programme among others.
