Chiuluan Raenggaan, tourist spot in Tamenglong to Re-open

One of the best tourist spot, Chiuluan Raenggaan, located in the heart of Tamenglong will re-open after several months of closure due to COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Raenggaan Committee notice, Chiuluan village, Tamenglong, Raenggaan will be opened from December 14, 2020 with a condition to visitors to maintain proper COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures.

Entry fee of Rs 10 will be charged per head, the notice said.

The committee also notified to inform in advance for visits made in groups. Extra charges will be incurred for visitors to hold a feast by cooking in the tourist spot, the notice mentioned.

It can be noted that Raenggaan is a historical place which was once built as a fortress for protection from wild animals and enemies. Each villages have Raenggaan, and Chiuluan Raenggaan is one among them.

This particular tourist place, Raenggaan is known for its distinctive infrastructure. One can also find a primitive wooden water container, bamboo water-ways, rope-ways, stone pavement and tree houses.
