Meghalaya Chief Minister and National president of NPP, Conrad K Sangma on Saturday banked on his party’s development intervention in the State to woo voters for ensuing Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) election.
He told a gathering at Rangagora under Bolsong GHADC constituency in North Garo Hills that the NPP led ruling party has been able to initiate various development interventions in the road, education and health sectors.
“We are committed to create better road infrastructure in the State, improve education and health infrastructure in the State. Our government is working to make a difference for our people. We have started our mission to transform Meghalaya and in the next two years, more initiatives will be taken up to better the lives of our people”, he said.
He also informed that in the last three years, amount to the tune of about 2000 crore was invested for enhancing and improving road connectivity in Garo Hills, including neglected roads and bridges in Garo Hills being sanctioned.
“Opposition parties will come and spread lies, but we have before us the visibility and development interventions being made by the ruling Government. Let us not get carried away and unitedly vote for NPP”, he added.
In the last 12 days , Conrad has campaigned in almost 20 different constituencies of Garo Hills and has addressed over 50 election meetings.
He once again reiterated that the wave of NPP is very strong and people of Garo Hills have come together to support NPP.
