Covid-19 cases in Manipur saw 530 new cases taking the total tally to 59852, while the death toll has touch 974 with 15 more fatality on Sunday, the state health department informed.
The state has been recording a single-day rise above 500-mark since the second week of May with the highest single-day spike of 1032 recorded on May 30.
As many as 5059 COVID-19 test results were received out of which 170 positive cases were from Imphal West, 80 from Imphal West, 60 in Bishnupur district as the top three highest daily new positive cases among the districts in Manipur.
The Health department reported 56 from Thoubal district, 54 in Churachandpur, 36 from Kakching, 19 in Jiribam, 41 in Chandel, 6 in Tamenglong, 7 in Ukhrul and 1 in Noney.
The culminative number of test results received as of Sunday stands at 813240 in Manipur.
In the past 24 hours, 15 persons died due to COVID-29 related health complications. Among them 7 were from Imphal West, 2 each from Imphal East and Bishnupur and 1 each from Jiribam, Kakching, Thoubal and Ukhrul.
