Ukhrul: In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary of Manipur, the Ministry of Development of the North Eastern Region (DoNER), Government of India, has approved administrative and financial sanctions amounting to Rs. 10,466.11 lakh (Rs. 104.66 crore, sixty-six lakh, and eleven thousand) for the remote and hill districts of Manipur.
The amount was sanctioned under the project “Providing Super Specialty and Assured Specialty Healthcare in Remote and Hill Districts (Infrastructure and Equipment)” in Manipur as part of the Prime Minister’s Development Initiative for North Eastern Region (PM-DevINE).

The district-wise detailed breakup for providing super specialty and assured specialty healthcare (excluding 9% CGST, 9% SGST, and equipment with 18% GST) is as follows:
1. District Hospital Chandel – Rs. 1,55,31,955.00
2. Ukhrul – Rs. 9,41,45,850.00
3. SDH Jiribam, Jiribam District – Rs. 6,16,40,316.00
4. Senapati – Rs. 12,15,41,902.00
5. Tamenglong District – Rs. 11,95,22,169.00
The list did not include Churachandpur, Kangpokpi districts among others.
