Manipur records first COVID-19 death

UT News Service | Imphal. July 29: A 56 year old in-patient in Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Imphal Hospital died due to COVID-19 today. The patient was admitted to the hospital on May 5 with multiple ailments.

Reliable sources confirmed that the patient tested positive for COVID-19 three days ago and had a case of chronic kidney disease and was under dialysis.

Cremation of the patient will be done in the hospital premises today as reported
