Forest Officials and CSO urged to protect wildlife in Tamenglong

With news of wildfire in Dzukou still ongoing with Manipur and Nagaland government engaged in taking necessary steps to control the wildfire from further spreading, a one day awareness campaign on prevention and control of Forest Fire was held on Wednesday in one of the interior villages, Atengba, located in Tamenglong District.

During the program conducted in Atengba (Makuai) village in Tousem Sub-Division of Tamenglong District, Kh. Hitler Singh DFO Tamenglong, A Promeshwor Singh i/c RFO Tousem and Mordecai Panmei, Director Rainforest Club Tamenglong spoke minutely on conservation of wildlife an prevention of Forest Fire.

The Resource Persons in particular urged the public to protect and conserve wildlife especially in Zeilad Wildlife Sanctuary and the adjoining areas where varieties of animal habitats are found.
