NNN | IMPHAL, JULY 17: On behalf of the public of Nungba Kendra, People’s Progressive Council, Manipur West (PPC) has extended its gratitude to the collective leadership of Manipur Chief Minister, N. Biren Singh and Prof. Tikendrajit Singh, President, BJP Manipur Pradesh for organizing a grand reception programme of Gaidon Kamei who joined the BJP on Wednesday, July 15, 2020. The programme was held at the Chief Minister’s bungalow, Imphal.

“Gaidon Kamei is an outstanding civil society organization leader in Manipur. He has been a social worker for a longtime and has vast experience of social and political issues of Manipur and the issue of tribal people in Manipur,” said the PPC in a press statement on Friday.

It then said that the Bharatya Janata Party (BJP) has done a commendable work by accepting the entry of “a tall tribal leader” into the ruling party. It added that the entry of Gaidon Kamei in the party will rekindle the hope of the down-trodden tribal community of Manipur and Manipur public as a whole.

“He is a seasoned social worker and a man of integrity, dedicated his life for the upliftment of the deprived section of the society in the hill people for the past many decades,” said the PPC.

The PPC then hopes that in near future the BJP and the coalition government in Manipur will bring a great change in the perspective of development and social harmony in Manipur.

The statement then said that the PPC will always give full cooperation in all the developmental activities initiated by the government of Manipur in the districts.

“PPC wishes the BJP led Government will bring peace, progress, unity and development in the state,” the statement added.
