Herbal Soap manufacturing unit inaugurated in Nagaland

Advisor for Horticulture and Border Affairs, Government of Nagaland, Mhathung Yanthan inaugurated a Tongphi Herbal Soap manufacturing unit at Rachan Colony, Wokha Town in Nagaland on Wednesday. 

Mhathung Yanthan, while speaking at the programme, said that irrespective of age bar, ‘dedicated farmers are the friends of the horticulture department’. He then called upon all to take farming as enterprise and become an entrepreneur. He encouraged all to work hard with sincerity and dedication in the field of farming with innovative ideas, so also to take up ventures for enabling a job provider instead of seeking “government job” alone.

Director, Horticulture, Dr Elithung Lotha also spoke on the occasion saying that Horticulture has a lot of options – from fragrance to taste, all required nutrients and immunity boost produced from plants and crops are undertaken and initiated by the department for which one needs to promote all such horticulture related farming in a larger scale.  He then asked all farmers and workers to get organized in order to keep their unit growing.

Earlier, Mhathung unveiled the stone, dedicated by Revd S. Thungrio Khuvung, Pastor, Longjung Baptist Church, Vankhosung. The inauguration programme was chaired by Medemshiba, District Horticulture Officer, Wokha.

The Advisor along with his entourage also inspected the manufacturing unit and took part in luncheon organized by Lanchibemo Tsopoe and family, who are the manufacturing unit promoter.
