IAF air drills over Dimapur sky

Akin to last year’s several days of air drills that spread wild speculations in Nagaland, the Indian Air Force conducted another “scheduled exercises” of air drills on Thursday over the sky of Dimapur.

The Director of the Dimapur Airport, Airports Authority of India informed the media on November 17 that the drills were routine programme and “the public should not panic”.

The Indian Air Force’s Sukhoi SU-30 aircrafts were seen taking part in the drills in the afternoon on Thursday, which will continue till November 21.

Talking to the media persons, the Director said that the Dimapur Airport has been chosen for the purpose like other civilian airports in the Northeast region.
