IDP resettlement begins at Waroiching

UKHRUL: Pooja Elangbam, Deputy Commissioner of Bishnapur on Thursday (December 4) oversaw the departure of Internally Displaced Persons from the Leimaram High School Relief Camp.

This marks the beginning of their resettlement at Leimaram Waroiching, located under Nambol Sub-Division at Village No.27-Sadu Koireng.

Addressing the gathering, Elangbam noted that the Government has disbursed the first round of financial aid to families moving back to Waroiching to rebuild their houses.

She added that further installments will be released soon. The DC also handed over cheques amounting to Rs 16.5 lakh to various Self-Help Groups
