Jano Nyekha releases Women Empowerment song in 20 languages

Jano Nyekha, a well-known artist from Nagaland, has released a new music video titled ‘Oh Hi Hey (Women Empowerment)’ on YouTube.

The music video features appearances from prominent Naga women including Jessica Snock, Khyochano TCk, Zuchobeni Tungoe, Virie, Tetseo Sisters, Bethel Tsüzü, Narola Jati, Alenuo Angami, and many others from Nagaland state who have excelled in various fields.

However, what’s unique about this music video is that each line of the song is sung in 20 languages including English, Nagamese, and all the 18 recognized languages of Nagaland state.

The song released on International Women’s Day is about equality and how Nagas are united for women empowerment.

First Verse:
Central to our home are women, always there to assist (Chokri)
