Mega Legal Services and Medical Camps Held in Tengnoupal

Tengnoupal, Mar 22: A Mega Legal Services camp and Medical Camps for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in relief camps of Tengnoupal district were held today.  The Mega Legal Services camp was held at Tengnoupal High School, Tengnoupal District Headquarters while the medical camps were held at Tengnoupal High School, Yatri Niwas Moreh, and Kwatha.

The Mega Legal Services camp and the Medical Camps were virtually inaugurated by Justice B.R. Gavai, Judge, Supreme Court of India, and Executive Chairman, NALSA, from Multipurpose Hall, Mini Secretariat, Churachandpur.

As many as 150 IDPs from various relief camps in Tengnoupal HQ, Chehlep, Chahmol, Loissi, and Phalbung attended the programs.

A total of 16 stalls were set up at the venue by various departments to provide assistance. The Forest Department distributed saplings, the Agriculture Department gave out vegetable seeds, and the Health Department offered medicine free of charge. The Social Welfare Department provided services for old age and widow pension applications, as well as financial assistance.

Today’s event was graced by Krishna Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Tengnoupal, Rahul Gupta, SP Tengnoupal, CJM, ADC, DFO, SDO Tengnoupal, and CMO Tengnoupal among others.

The event was jointly organized by the District Legal Services Authority, Chandel, District Administration, Tengnoupal, and Chief Medical Officer, Tengnoupal, under the joint aegis of the National Legal Services Authority and Manipur State Legal Services Authority.
