Manipur: Tangkhul youth Songashim wins 2nd runner-up at Mr Friendship International 2022

Ukhrul: In yet another elated news, a 25-year-old Songashim Rungsung from Manipur’s Ukhrul district, who represented India, has won the second runner-up title at the prestigious Mister Friendship International in Thailand on Sunday.

Besides the prestigious title, Mr Rubaru India 2021 Songashim also wins the Mister Best Personality special award held at Khon Kaen city. 

A native of Talui village, Songashim Rungsung from the Tangkhul community is a social media influencer, fitness consultant and modeller.

Yoo Byeong Eun of Korea took home the coveted Mr Friendship International 2022 title while Thailand’s Kanawach Kueakanchanaphon was adjudged the first runner-up title.

Also, Netherlands’ Mike Van Doorn and Leivy Caminero of Dominican Republic were adjudged the 3rd and 4th runners-up titles, respectively.

This year, contestants from across 18 countries competed for the coveted Mr Friendship International 2022 title. Of which, 10 contestants made it to the top ten during the grand finale.

The 10 contestants were Songashim Rungsung (India), Jose Carlos Paras (Philippines), Leivy Caminero (Dominican Republic), Kanawach Kueakanchanapho (Thailand), David Strnad (Czech Republic), Mike Van Doorn (Netherlands), Alsvanh Siriphath (Laos), Hoang Viet An (Vietnam), Joachim Tanksley (France Guyane) and Yoo Byeong Eun (Korea).
