A team of Manipur Fire Services rushed to the site and managed to douse the fire from spreading further. However, a major portion of the house was already burnt down when it arrived.

At least three other government quarters located inside the office premises of the Technical Promotional (TP) Cell, an engineering cell in Imphal, were also torched by a mob on Wednesday.
