UKHRUL: The Nungou Students’ Union organised a Career Guidance Programme on December 19, 2025, under the theme “Your Voice, Your Vision: Build the Life You Deserve,” aimed at guiding students towards informed academic and career decisions.
The programme witnessed the participation of more than 70 students from Class VI onwards, including students from neighbouring villages and New Life School Mission, reflecting strong community interest and engagement.

The day-long programme featured a series of expert sessions by accomplished professionals from diverse fields. Dr Ninglum Zimik, Founder of HAU Wung Sports Management Group and Sports Agent at King Sports Management, Kolkata, delivered a session on “From Passion to Profession: Shaping Your Sports Journey with Purpose and Vision,” encouraging students to explore career opportunities in sports beyond conventional paths.
Mrs Wonmila Ngashangva, Lead Cabin Attendant and Core Lead at Indigo Airlines, India, addressed students on “Cabin Crew Careers: Skills, Training, and Opportunities in the Aviation Industry,” providing insights into aviation careers and professional requirements.
Mr Mirinsing Ankang (MSc Tech, IIT Dhanbad), Central Geological Service officer (UPSC 2020) with the Geological Survey of India under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, spoke on “Education Empowers Every Generation,” highlighting the role of perseverance and education in nation-building.
L Robert Meitei, Principal of Ukhrul Central School, certified nutritionist under the Ministry of AYUSH–USA Alliance and Centre Head of IPTFA Manipur, spoke on “Health, Substance Abuse, Sports and Academic Performance in High School,” stressing the importance of physical and mental well-being for academic success.

The final session was delivered by Mr Khayaipam Ngashangva, former Resource Person at the Christian Counselling Centre (CCC), Vellore, Tamil Nadu, who addressed “Youth and Mental Health,” underscoring the need for emotional resilience and mental health awareness among young people.

The interactive nature of the programme allowed students to actively engage with the speakers, ask questions, and gain valuable insights into various career pathways. The Nungou Students’ Union expressed gratitude to all resource persons, participants, and supporting institutions for their cooperation and support.
The programme concluded successfully, leaving students inspired, informed, and better prepared to work towards building the life they envision.
