Nagaland Minister for Agriculture & Co-operation, G. Kaito Aye inaugurated Organic A.C Market at Nagaland State Agriculture Marketing Board Complex, 4th Mile, Agri Expo Site in Dimapur on Tuesday.
Delivering his speech, G. Kaito Aye stated that the inauguration of the A.C. market and cold storage is just the beginning of a new vision to promote farmers and to uplift the welfare of farmer community. He then urged the Agri and allied departments to link with NSMB for the success of the market and for the benefit of all sections of the people. He also called upon the departments to be active and take advantage of the facilities and increase agrarian production, encourage the farmers “so that we will be self sufficient”.
Speaking on the occasion, APC Y. Kikheto Sema expressed happiness and congratulated the minister and all the officials involved in completion of the project.
“Employment opportunities could be generated through the facilities and would benefit all sections of the people,” he said. He also informed about the project of farmers hostel which will be started soon and also mentioned about the government’s plan to bring all Agri and allied offices to Agri Expo Site for the convenience of the farming community and also to have a better coordination. He then appealed all the Agri and allied departments to come together and focus on one mission: sustainability of our people so that we can be self-sufficient.
Earlier, the programme was invoked by Associate Pastor Youth, ABCD Talimoa Jamir. Welcome address was delivered by Director of Agriculture Ben Yanthan. Construction Report was delivered by chief executive officer, NSAMB G. Ikuto Zhimomi and a vote of thanks by Executive officer, NSAMB Benri Mozhui. The program was chaired by Director Agriculture Ben Yanthan.
