Director of Health Services, Dr. Aman Warr, said that if plasma is taken from the persons who have recovered, it can be transferred on patients who are critically ill with COVID-19 and such persons can fight the virus.

The Deputy Chief Minister also said that NEIGRIHMS also wants to set up a plasma bank for the Northeast as well as Meghalaya. Tynsong said that those who have recovered can volunteer to donate their plasma but they cannot be forced.

It may be mentioned that many BSF personnel who have recovered have expressed their willingness to donate plasma.
