Kohima: Poll preparedness is in full swing in Nagaland. The state goes to the Assembly polls in the next few months.

In this regard, various election related preparations by the administration are underway. One of the significant measures is that of the assessments of the law and order situation. 

Two days ago,  Director General of Police (DGP), Nagaland, T. John Longkumer, IPS, held a meeting on the law and order situation in the state and the election preparedness of the various units of Nagaland police in the conference hall at Rhododendron Hall, Chumoukedima near Dimapur.

The conference was attended by senior police officers, Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, and all superintendents and commandants. Limasunep Jamir, IPS, Inspector General of Police (Range), and State Police Nodal Officer Elections gave a presentation on election preparedness. Sandeep M. Tamgadge, IPS, Addl. Director General of Police (L & O) and K. Martin Pienyu, IPS, Inspector General of Police (INT) highlighted the Law and Order issue. Renchamo P. Kikon, IPS, Addl. Director General of Police (Adm.) chaired the meeting.
