Poppy pant destroyed at Kangchup Geljang hill range

A joint team of Kangpokpi district police, SDO Kangchup Geljang, Narcotics and Affairs of Border (NAB) and Forest Department of Kangpokpi under the supervision of SP Kangpokpi conducted illegal poppy plant destruction drive at Kangchup Geljang hill range under Kangchup Police Station, Kangpokpi District Manipur on December 14.

About 25 acres of the area growing poppy plants have been destroyed. The poppy cultivating area of K Geljang Hill Range is about 20 kms South West of Kangchup police station.

The drive was led by SDO Kangchup Geljang, Addl. SP (Ops) Kangpokpi, DSP Kangpokpi, Range Forest Officer (RFO) Kangpokpi,OC Kangchup Police Station, District police Kangpokpi & NAB Officers and personnel numbering of 113 persons.
