The Poumai Naga officers’ Federation (PNOF) has donated 30 KVA Generator to Covid isolation ward, District Hospital, Senapati on Thursday. PNOF president P. Duna Duo officially handed over to medical superintendent, District Hospital, Senapati in the presence of additional district magistrate Senapati Adahrii Maheo, CMO Senapati Dr. Pfokreho Pfoze, PNOF executives, doctors and others.
ADM in his brief address expressed gratitude on behalf of district administration and district health society to PNOF for donating generator as power back up for the hospital. He said this donation will go a long way ensuring critical care for the only district hospital to use in the Covid isolation ward. He said power back up facilities is missing one of the critical components for emergency care for Covid as well as normal patients.
Medical superintendent, Senapati district hospital in her address expressed gratitude to the PNOF and stated that this shows the love and concern for the hospital.
President PNOF, P. Duna Duo MCS who is also SDO/BDO Songsong speaking to the media stated that they know the government is doing all it can in this fight against the disease, however government cannot do everything all the time and have limitations in terms of resources and manpower. He said PNOF wanted to show support to the government and concern for our people during this unprecedented extraordinary time to save our people’s life after learning from the district hospital that generator is urgently required for uninterrupted use of oxygen concentrator and other appliances for Covid-19 patients.
PNOF general secretary D. John Sha MFS who is also the divisional forest officer, Senapati in his report handed over to the media mentioned that through the various support of PNOF members posted across the country donated the generator to the Covid isolation ward of the district hospital. He said the total cost of generator including installation is approximately Rs. 5, 20,000. She also informed that PNOF had also extended Covid relief to 521 Poumai individuals stranded outside the state last year.
It may be mentioned that PNOF felt generator is the immediate requirement for fighting against Covid-19 which can be used as an effective tool for treatment of Covid patients in the district hospital so they donated 30 KVA generator to combat Covid-19.
