According to an official report, this dedicated SDGs destination will be organized with an SDG information desk, and activities aligning to SDGs such as quizzes, games, short film screenings, pledges, and much more on all days during the festival. There will also be a ‘Green Christmas Corner’ with interactive activities to generate awareness and spark on-ground action on celebrating Christmas in an eco-friendly and sustainable way.
In addition to these, the on-the-spot painting competition themed around SDGs is scheduled to be held on December 3, 2022, at 12 noon and is open to all. Participants in the various activities stand a chance to win sustainable goodie bags, the report also said.

The theme of all the activities will be around the SDGs– the 17 ambitious global goals associated with 169 targets to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all by 2030.
SDGs were agreed upon by all member countries of the United Nations (including India) in 2015, which are to be achieved by 2030. The Government of Nagaland is also working towards localizing and integrating the SDGs. This is yet another effort towards creating more awareness and public participation in the SDGs-oriented action as well as aligning all activities to the SDGs during the Festival period, the report added.
