UKHRUL: The class XII examination conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM), witnessed 1,277 candidates appearing for the exam on Tuesday in Senapati.
According to reports, there were 5 different exam centres with 189 candidates appearing in Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School, Senapati, 177 candidates in Senapati Hr. Sec. School, 264 candidates in Mt. Pisgah Hr. Sec. School, 560 candidates in Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School, Maram and 89 candidates in Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School, Punanamei, Mao.
Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Senapati Examination Centre Officer Rev. Fr. Nepuni William informed that a total of 189 candidates from seven higher secondary schools are appearing for the ongoing examinations at the centre. Expressing optimism, he said he hopes all students will perform well and make the most of the opportunity. He also conveyed gratitude to the concerned council for designating the school as an examination centre.
Meanwhile, the Senapati District Students Association (SDSA), the apex student body of the district, has been conducting inspections across examination centres to ensure that the exams are held smoothly and fairly.
Speaking to the media during one such visit, SDSA President Saloni Tony stated that, as in previous years, the association is actively monitoring centres to help maintain a free, fair, peaceful, and conducive environment for all candidates.

She noted that Senapati Higher Secondary School at Katomei has been allotted as an examination centre for the first time this year. Extending her best wishes to the students, she described the examinations as an important milestone and emphasized that effort matters more than grades. She added that the association values quality over quantity.
The examinations are scheduled to conclude on March 20.
